I woke up
Thinking my face had been destroyed in my sleep
Wishing to reverse the nightmare scream
But it’s all just faded memory
‘Cause none of it ever happened to me
I’ve forgotten where to draw the line
Wondering if I’m really fine
I’ll pause
Just because
I woke up
Thinking the house had been burned to a singe
Wondering if I teetered off my hinge
Déjà vu that makes me cringe
Wide awake on another binge
Digging through my previous thoughts
Wondering where reality stopped
Hold, freeze
Make it cease
Have you ever stared in a kaleidoscope
Long enough that you start to see stars?
Saw the colors whiz past your sight
Wondering if they’re in the kaleidoscope or in your eyes
Welcome to my mind
