When will I confess to dishonesty?
To where has my confidence descended?
We live in make believe intimacy,
Parting was not what I had intended.
No need for silly words to make appeal,
Only desires for your forgotten smiles.
Contradict my truths to start an ordeal.
Tainted justice and freedom defiled.
Wisps of hair and delicate fingertips
Become so tantalizing to the mind,
But the only evidence is a kiss
And an incriminated heart you’ll find.
I’ll forever stay a thing of deceit.
Buried feelings have never tasted sweet.

Description:
Written as another English assignment. The title is only there to fill in empty space. It is not the actual title. It was written while I thought of love and a murder case. A bad case of love, no pun intended. You can see how they define themselves with symbolic meaning and intertwine with one another in the poem.
And it is a type of poem called a sonnet. Enjoy. :] - Date: 07/10/2009

- The last two lines could have had something in between them to keep up you every-other-line bit.
