Sinister
By N.A. Triantaffelow
So they deem what is right and what is wrong,
And who is weak and who is strong,
With blood like ink
And life so long.
Such wars are fought in mind,
With cause not far behind,
These terms come in pairs
Like two of a kind.
But in the end
No cause is right.
For Justice is a most
Sinister Twice-Edged Blade.

- Title: Sinister
- Artist: Agrikar the Hidden
- Description: Justice is a most sinister Twice-Edged Blade. That is, things like justice, right, wrong, good, evil, are all terms for the beholder. One man's right is another man's wrong, if you will. I wrote this from the quote above; something I sort of coined during a conversation with a friend. It was written in the format identical to 'Justice Isn't a War Party' ; something I found only right, given the similarly identical topics.

- I understood the overall message, and I think you did a good job of choosing expressions to fit that message. My only problem was with the last third of the poem. Although great by itself, the rhythm didn't seem to fit with the rest of the poem. I still really enjoyed it though. All of your work that I've read is well thought out.

I gave your poem three stars.
It was well written, but my problem was both with the message and the lack of thought behind that message.
If I understood correctly, you're stating that right and wrong are subjective, but I must ask, what determines right and wrong to you? Anyone who comes along and wishes to, or is there not a standard such as reason or reality? - Report As Spam
