• As the clock ticks by,
    I'm counting down the days,
    I struggle through each morning,
    and every little praise.

No longer to a school bus,
    It's in a car I go,
And as long as they have money,
    each teaching they will show.

    and paper! paper! paper!
    must rush before it's due!
    and study! study! study!
    to answer right on cue.

    No longer will my parents,
    help me in my strife.
I am on my own now,
and I live my own life.

And off to sleep I go,
    it's in a tiny room.
    with someone I don't know,
    who doesn't sleep as soon.

And as I walk through parties,
    and watching what I drink,
    I show responsibility,
and not go past the brink.

    O! a young one's life.
    of one pursuing knowledge,
of one learning of them self,
    and one living in college.
