• Only twelve years old and you were thirteen
I woke up in what I thought was a dream
    You were sitting there
    Your silky brown hair

You had me when I looked in your eyes
    I got very hypnotized
We were just kids wanting to love
We didn't think it was "a gift from above"

Time has gone by now and I've noticed a lot
You stole my innocence as a part of your plot
You're not the girl I used to like
I'll stand up now and yell in this mic

I will not write a 3 paged poem about this hurt
I'll only remember the flow in your skirt
The look in your mouth when you smiled
You had me stunned for quite a while

I'll remember that day when I stare in the skies
And wonder what it's like to go sky high
Don't get me wrong, I still love you
I just don't know if you do too

So take this short poem into your mind
Maybe somewhere in your heart you will find
We were meant to be together
I have waited more than forever
