• Laying before me lies memories captured in time
Held within the pages of a old and rugged book
Taking a step back into the past
    Looking through a window at
    Moments of joy and laughter
At faces that to me are so familiar
    Yet so long forgotten
Walking along a narrow path through time
    Looking at moments gone by
I reach out to touch the faces
Of the ones I love so much
    That were taken from me
Pleading with Time to give them back
I can only look back on these photographs
And to the few memories I have held within my heart
To a time when everything was okay
A time where joys were endless
And life free of fear pain anger and emptiness
So long ago it seems that I was a child
Leaving behind fond and happy memories
To later in life laugh and adore
Time brings many storms and memories
They come and go so quickly
So hold tight the ones you love
    Cherish them everlasting
Tuck them away in your soul
For there they shall live on through eternity
