• Fallen Angel
    At horizon's end,
    Where sky and tide meet.
The sky forms a new moon,
Bellowing the skies with pinks and yellows.
    The harsh wind blows cold,
    She looks around in fear.
    For she knew already,
    The end was near.
    Dark clouds form,
As the rain fell from above.
    The sky starts to swirl,
With the darkness of the night.
    I walk closer and closer,
    Even in dispair,
    She was beautiful.
    For an angel had fallen,
From the heavens in the skies.
    Her wings had broken,
My lips quivered at her cries.
She was different from other angels,
For this one was not pure.
    She had betrayed the lord,
    And rebelled against the world.
Dark tears streamed from her eyes,
    I knelt down beside her,
    And offered her my handkerchief.
    "Such long lashes,
    They flutter as you speak."
    "Don't let them hide forever,
    Behind tear stained eyes."
    I whispered.
She looked at me with fear in her eyes,
Yet I could still see the innocence within.
She had fallen through the crack,
    Between dreams and reality.
    She was the bind,
That held the two worlds tight.
Today an angel had fallen from the sky....
