• A feeling of suffocation rises up around me,
Sending tendrils of fear into my mind
And crushing my tenuous hold in humanity,
Leaving nothing for me to reconstruct.
My skin presses into my trembling limbs,
Contorting my being into a waking dream,
Tossing me around in random whims,
A crushed reject trapped in a random sea.
Like love and hope, gone so long ago,
I long to fly away into safe darkness,
    Leaving behind the shameful vertigo
That never gives me any sense of peace.
