• Anderson crumbling to the ground,
    A playground built of rust.
Tetanus not a worry for us,
    Just furniture for the taking.

The art of playing mums and dads,
    Built of childish imagination.
We could turn our house into a base,
    Creating our own private war.
    A door wasn't needed; a cuckoo's nest,
We smashed blue eggs for fun.
The summer meant the grass was long,
Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!
Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my!

The seasons changed and we got older,
Our house, our fort, our den,
Now it's just an old bomb shelter.
Never to be a castle again.
