the irony in knowing the inevitable...
the feathers fall my broken heart
it was shot right down from the start
you tore off the very wings
id like to say i never saw it coming
but yet it seems
to miss it would be stunning
i was never was your enemy
you where supposed my remedy
to this awful apocrathy
so now i offer my heart
to the highest bidder
i no longer care just hurry before i get bitter
i hope i get a winner
im a lover not a fighter
but catch this lighter
before it starts this fire
cut this rope
stop this knife before it hits my throat
catch this poison before i choke
my ivory tears and ebony blood
will never again make such a beautiful flood
i saw this coming
and i knew there was no running
i could not think of something so stunning
but sometimes reality is worse than fiction
sometime life has an awful twist
it seems im in gods cross hairs
catching both both stares
of god and Satan
one pleas for purging
one pleas for turning
i dont know which to listen
i thought i had it right
i can no longer put up the same fight
i can no longer see the light
it didn't take a dead poet
or a sleeping prophet
for me to just know it
i knew it wouldn't last
but its in the past
and im looking toward the future
i hope its grand ...
