    Come flooding back.

    After all the s**t we’ve been through,
    We’re still friends.

    You were there for me
    When I needed it most
    And in return,
    I never left your side.

    Not once did we hesitate
    To help each other
    No matter the cost.

    We did everything together,
    Side by side;
    From band class
    To chess club
    You were never left behind.

    Then you moved away,
    Without warning, without a word
    Our worlds were torn apart.

    We stayed in touch,
    At least at first,
    But it got harder and harder
    Until there was no response.

    And then you surprise me again
    Spring up on me and tell me
    You’re back and here to stay.

    I’m delighted!
    Can hardly speak
    And just full of glee.

    I have my old friend back again,
    Now all those memories:


    The fun and jokes
    That always got way outta hand
    Don’t only exists in the past
    But in the future too!

    I can’t wait for it to start
    All over again.

    To make more memories
    And have you by my side again.
