• The Man, the Lowly Assassin
    Closed in on its prey
He knew of the descending darkness
But he thought nothing of it

As he descended upon his victims,
the Dark descended upon the land
    The Man was scared
    The Darkness was upon him

As though a lion chased a white rabbit,
    the Man ran away
    The Darkness found him, though
And ripped open his heart of within

    It molded to his flesh,
    his bone and blood
    his cloths and weapons
    his mind and sanity

    The Man was too late
Darkness consumed him, but he was different
    The Darkness controlled him.
    And he was happy.

The Mans simple knife grew into a sharp, black blade.
The Mans leather cloths turned into armour and robes of a king
The Mans Flesh turned black and unbreakable
The Mans bones hardened to steel.

    Before it controlled him,
The Man uttered a simple groan and a tear came from his eye.
    His Family and Friends!
    His Home and Day Job!

And then, the Darkness placed the Mans Crown upon his head:
    A Halo of Pure Darkness
Anger and Hate coursed through him like Blood,
and The Man rised to rule

He defeated all before him, ruling over the lands for 60 years,
    Tormenting those he loved.
The Citizens finally put a blade through his heart
    And the Darkness vanished.

They forgave him, they knew of the Darkness
He suffered 50 lashes, but he lived.
    The Man visited his Family,
and cursed as he saw them old and withered.

60 Years had passed, though the man still looked young
The Darkness had made him slightly immortal.
As it dawned on him, he found a new family
    A new life.

After those he first loved passed, he fell to the plague.
His loving wife and 3 Children gathered around his deathbed, he said.
"I'm going to tell you a story, of a lowly assassin"
And thus, he made a story out of his life.

And as he said the last word, The Man took a nap.
    But, he never woke up.
