Mom's breakin down dad,
without you around,
I can't fill your shoes and you can't tell me what to do.
I know your gone dad, I'm not in denial,
I only have hopes upon hopes that you'll smile.
I'm trying my best dad, I just want you to know,
I'll never be as good a man as you
no matter how hard i try to be just like you.
Corby's breakin down,
I think he's hurt one of the most
but Kevin said something,
somethig i wasn't there to hear.
Corby had 29
Kayla had 25
I had 17
but he only had 9.
9 years dad, that's all he had,
I know you didn't mean to,
I know you wanted to stay,
you raised him the best you could
now it's time for him to make his way.
I'll be here to help him dad,
to pick him up when hes down
I'll be here for him dad, I won't let you down.
Just promise me dad,
just one thing...
Watch over us dad, watch over us all
Mom and Corby,
Kayla and me,
and most of all
watch over your little boy.
Watch over him dad,
watch over him please
he needs me, he needs mom too
But if you asked me
who he needed the most,
I'd have to say
he needs you.
While you were in the hospital
he went through hell
I grabbed his hand and walked him through.
Now were in a new hell,
a hell without you.
Hes not breaking dad,
you raised him well.
He went to hell and back
and didn't shed a tear along the way
until the day
the day you went away.
We love you dad, now and forever.

I read what you said in the writing forum
I know the feeling though, you look at your writing and may think its junk but the best poetry is written fast from bursts of pure emotion
it moves, and it has power, it has sorrow and I appreciate it
it well deserves the 5 out of 5 - Report As Spam
