He always comes home late
A meeting is his excuse
You don’t know what to say
And his smile is so cute
You already know
By the liquor on his breath
Tomorrow won’t be new
But you just keep quiet
You just stay silent
While he stands there lyin’
You just deny it
Everything’s got to be okay
He doesn’t sound that fake
Your living in your head now
Please just see the truth
Its 4 in the morning
And work is his excuse
He smiles politely and walks out the door
You already know what he’s out for
But you just keep quiet
You just stay silent
While he stands there lyin’
You just deny it
Everythings got to be okay
He doesn’t sound that fake
And you’ve gotta keep quiet
You must stay silent
While he stands there lyin’
You can’t help deny it
You say everythings okay
His fakeness is all you
You refuse to see the truth
Its 4 in the afternoon
You get a phone call from his work
They we’re sorry your husband died
And you think to yourself
What the hell did you just do
Cause while you just stayed quiet
He stood there dyin’
And you just stayed silent
Leaving you cryin’

- Title: His Excuse
- Artist: Yukiko-chan596
- Description: This song is about a woman who lived with an alcoholic and never said anything. His liver was slowly failing and she never spoke up. It was inspired by a family member's experience.

- There are different forms of song, and this just happens to be one of them. I personally think it is a very good, and powerful song. I'm sure it would be even better with instrumentals in the back. I'm a novice sound engineer. If your interested, I'd be more than willing to cook something up for you. 5/5

- An interesting topic but you need to be more subtle dear. Use metaphor and symbolism rather than just saying it
