• The little girl sat in her bed
Thinking of the big jolly man
The reindeer, the sleigh, and the presents flew through her head
She heard something, so down the stares she ran
She looked at that tree, still lonely, presentless
She got herself a cup of water
And when back to bed, restless
    Mother checked on her daughter
    After an hour or two
    She was fast asleep
Under her little covers, baby blue
So, so quietly, to her room did she creep
Waiting for the awakening of the morning
But just as she was to fall asleep,
She heard someone on the roof, and the dog bark a warning
She woke her husband, but there was no more sound, not even a peep
    So asleep they fell
The next thing they heard was "It's Christmas!" in their little girl's voice
For she had a little story to tell
She leaped out of bed, and straight to the tree was her choice
For the tree was surrounded by presents red, green and gold
She dashed for the gifts, but froze half way
To wait after breakfast, she was told
After breakfast, she went towards the presents, brought by a sleigh
Opened them all, one by one
When everything was opened, she started to play
    She was having great fun
Now twas time for everything to be put away
And so she did, every toy, every shirt and jeans
She sat in her bed once again
Looking at her all of her things, feeling like one of the greatest queens
She grabbed her notebook, preparing to write
    Starting to work her pen
To write about the best day, and the best night
