Winter winds kiss my face as I stare at the cloudy skies,
What lies but cold thoughts, hearts, and eyes
I can see my breath as if my soul escapes me
As mysterious as Gatsby, my thoughts are ghastly
I close my palpebrae in hope lifes quality increases
That in place of the desert, i reside on the cold beaches
The sweetly softened beaches breezes bestow upon me more pleases...
And yet upon opening my lids...
The badlands dry sands still drag over my so called plans
My expression remains unaltered as i am used to the falters
And a sigh escapes my seemingly lifeless lips.
My leg turns and my foot hovers toward the door
I simmer and slide towards what is no more
The abode to my unease is quite warm and toasty
I turn to survey my desires slowly as i close my egress behind me..
