• Stay silent next to me,
As I softly wonder on the world,
    Lives we've changed,
    And shadows turned all around,

    Breathe in with the air,
As the sun rivets upon gold hair,
    Clouds pass over head,
    Stoic guardians from evening's call,

    Link your hand in mine,
    Creases line my worn-down palm,
Age and toil in their faces,
    Explaining years I don't remember,

    Touch carefully my lips,
They drip red at the first warning,
    Signs we should've seen,
Life force slipping away like mad,

    Faded grass growing,
Covering all the bitter lies in past,
    Sweep across the yard,
And our memories grown long gone.
