What was it about that kiss, that made things go wrong ?
you said we'd be together, that i wouldn't have to wait long .
and what does that girl have , that made you change your mind ?
you were always so sweet , you were also so kind .
but i guess a new boy , i will have to find .

Well this goes to show,
and i want you to know,
that if you have high expectations,
start looking for new explanations,
expect the worse, but hope for the best,
and you'll feel something beating
beneath your chest .
