You were the diamond in that ring,
I couldn't afford to buy.
Your shining allure,
glistening far & wide.
Tearing through doubtful shadows,
illuminating darkened skies.
While inside you, they're all dying to take a look,
beautiful is your potrait, you've got them all hooked.
while you hide in it's shadow and not a soul has a clue.
You're like that breeze brushing past my skin on a humid summer night.
I can only sigh when you're there and yet sigh again when you're gone
Delicate so that I worry you'd be knocked unconscious by a snowflake
Cheerful disposition even the gods wouldn't be able to evade.
Everytime I now hear your voice, it's a sinking feeling curling up inside.
It's taken me so long to realise, everyday you make me wish our relationship had never died
You're never going to be yourself with me again, my therapist has taken the shape of a pen.
Scrambled across the floor looking up at everything not meant for me.
I'm surrounded by pain as far as I can see, and it's probably there I most miss you not being there for me.
I hate you. Only because I'm still in love with you.
Drooping, my eyes are coming down to a close,
sealing themselves shut with a final tear,
As night paves the way for another day to draw near.
