• A candle burns…
    It flickers;
    Grows and fades…
    A structure veils the candle
    Shutting it away
    Not letting it shed a single ray
    The structure is thick and heavy
    Yet so easy to move
    When the wind blows
    It opens a single crack
    The air rushes in and the flame surrounds it
    So great the warmth it gives
    The air makes the flame dance
    Til the cover adjusts itself once again
    The air wants in;
    The duvet stops it from entering
    Desperation to reach out
    Uncontrollable; the need
    To dance and surround every corner
    The flame doesn’t know what it wants
    Either it can grow or die away
    Desperation to get air
    To catch and spread
    Just to exist a bit longer
    The excitement of the flame
    The joy of the air discovering something new
    Come and go…
