- My mom's first husband inspired me to write this poem. He died of leukemia in 1988, and all I could think about was how he felt right before he passed away.
- Title: One Rose
- Artist: Demilia17
-
Description:
I stared at one rose,
Standing on my night
Table. It was rotting, dieing
In front of my very eyes.
In a way I felt like the rose-
The disease was eating at me
From the inside, and I was
Dieing, rotting in front of my
Very own eyes.
When I woke up,
The rose was gone,
It must have died in
The night. I cried and
Cried, and all I wanted to
Do was let go…

- : ( I'm sorry he died, but it was a great inspiration for this poem. Good things come from the bad amazingly, and this is a great way of showing it. 5/5
