• In a Silent world of one a.m. the first snowflake reached the cold winter ground.
It was followed by it's similar brothers and sisters.

The wind carries a bark of a dog form far away , just a whisper in this world of frost covered ground.
Soon single flakes turned into cotton blotches and the ground slowly turns white when they land.

The once dark trees are now turning white in the snowfall and there is not a bird to be found.
The ground beneath the trees is now beginning to be filled with snow, making valleys and hills at their bases.
Filling holes from Spring critters and covering the place where flowers once stood.

The wind has shifted and made a twister of white dance across the barren ground.
It carries the smell of a fire somewhere in the distance of this forest.
It's a warm and relaxing smell that makes one think of home, but home is now far away from where I stand.
There are deer crossing the path before me as I watch the snow, turning black to white and erasing all memories of pain.

It's a sobering moment when I here my name, carried on the wind from the direction of home so far away from where I stand.
I say my goodbyes to this forest of white and head back to where I am loved,to home off in the distance.
A place where I am wanted.
