• The silk twists and turns,
Its haunting dance of here after.
It waves from side to side,
Then follows down into black abyss.

    It wanders the twilight world,
And beckons others to follow it.
    It grasps the screaming child,
And wraps around the choking heart.

It leads others to follow it,
As it sings its haunting melody.
    It weaves before mine eyes,
And I know my time is near.

It twists and teases then grasps my arm.
This blackened ribbon drags me under,
    To its forever darkened world,
Where never again to see my sunlight.

I turn to face this ribboned beast.
It stands before me with a sickened smile.
There is nothing more I can do,
But follow the souls in their solitude.
