• As I open my eyes I see darkness
    I have fallen into the deep abyss
    Vision does me no good in this black place
    I try to tell my heart it’s not a race

    My feet seem to come to a rest
    And there is a calm brought into my chest
    The plane where I had stood became a thousand doves
    They flew higher, into the sky above

    My memories are just a blur
    All the thoughts in my head begin to stir
    Symbols, each with a subconscious meaning
    The sword, the shield, the staff, each connected to a feeling

    Obtain power through me, is marked the sword
    Protect your friends with me, so speaks the shield
    The staff can cause immense discord
    Each needs great skill to wield

    I keep the shield, to help defend
    And to have brute strength I choose to end
    A helix of stairs does appear
    Once I climb them, what manifests around me is pure fear

    Human-shaped ghouls, half a dozen, with ease
    They swipe at me, I know it is a tease
    Just as they all swarm towards me
    In my hand appears a huge key

    It freezes the ghouls in their shoes
    I now know that I can not lose
    I slice through one, it dissipates
    And now I can control their fates

    I slay the final one and I can rest
    They were just the foot soldiers of the test
    An enormous aborition comes forth
    It will take me for all I’m worth

    I slash and dash, attempting to kill it
    I see it fade after each hit
    At last, I have defeated the being
    Suddenly, reality is what I’m seeing
