Knock on the sky
And listen to the sound
Way up there
Where the stars abound
Can you hear the whisper of the stars
Or perhaps you hear the roar of mars
Do you hear the stillness and peace
Do you see the milky way, white as fleece
Do you see the comet's tails
Or do you see Earth from where you hale
As you Knock on the sky
Do you see the creator's eye
Knock on the sky
And listen to the sound
Way up there
Where stars abound
Do you hear the howls of the moon
And put up your ear to hear the monsoon
Coming form Pluto you hear wind
As layer upon layer are thinned
When you hear the universe calling your name
Do you deam of glory or even fame
Or do listen to what it tells you
Hoping with all your heart for a breakthrough
Knock on the sky
And listen to the sound
Way up there
Where stars abound

Poems don't have to rhyme. It's too bad because this could have been really, really excellent. The first stanza is great "Knock on the sky
And listen to the sound
Way up there
Where the stars abound"
And even some of the other parts but the rhymes seem reached for and that really takes away from an otherwise great poem.
