You pulled my hair
and hid my things
pushed me down
and broke my wings
I'd rip your posters
and steal your shoes
hide the spot
you left a bruise
It was a hate
I hated to love
now I miss
what's up above
No matter what
you did to me
You were always there
when I scraped my knee
To pull me up
from the dirt
and scare away
the words that hurt
The bullies ran
for you were there
and you were mine
I knew you cared
But then that night
it came so black
and on that bus
my heart: attacked
for on that night
unlike no other
deaths cold hold:
it stole my brother.
And with you gone
I have to learn
to live with grief
it's frost-like burn
but I know this
for things aren't the same
but what what always will be:
in our hearts you remain.

- Title: Ode of a Lost Little Sister
- Artist: Captain Confuzmint
-
Description:
My big brother was killed November 26, 2010 at the age of 21 in a horrible car accident. It has been hard, and here is a poem I wrote 4 days after he died. I miss him, and hope he is watching over our family.
Love you Trav. - Date: 02/18/2011
