• Outside it's cold, bitterly cold.
    It is still winter,
the stray cats are under safe, wild bushes
pigeons here and there, hunting for food.
    Inside it's spring
    Not too cold,
    Not too hot.
    It's happy.

    Outside it's cold, bitterly cold
    It is still, still winter.
No children are out in the park,
The wind strips the last few leaves on the trees.
    Inside it's fall,
    Inside is mother,
    Inside is father,
    and Inside is my friend.
They are crowded around me and my cat
Oh how they hate my cat.

    Outside it's cold, bitterly cold
It is still, still and still winter.
    The snowmen are long abandoned,
Lost gloves and mittens hidden in the bushes.
    Inside is summer.
    Glorious summer.
    How beautiful!
My math paper is in my hands, glowing
The red "A+ 100" on the paper is also everywhere.
    My parents are happy,
    My teacher is happy!

    Outside it's cold, bitterly cold
It is still, still, still, and you know what? Still winter.
    An untouched layer of snow,
An also untouched layer of sadness.
    It is also winter Inside.
    It is raining Inside.
My mother is running away from me,
My father is looking at me in disgust.
My current and past teachers are snickering at me,
    My friends are beating me.

    Inside, it’s so confusing.
Inside, somewhere where even I can’t control myself in.
Inside, someplace where I both loathe and love at the same time.
