Gandalf
Thunderstruck with the world's despair
Precious. There's nothing for us here
Snow breathing down our backs
Trying to cope with no further presence
Bilbo felt his pain from long ago
Frodo burdened and now alone
Captive by retribution as swift as the Orcs at Night
Aspiring to heights for the fate of this Age
Screw the weather and forget the wind
Some pain will never mend
But alas, hear the call of Smeagol's cry
A reminder of Aurora, of tragedy, and of strife
Renew the heart as the music fades
Never forget the night nor its break of day

- Title: Khazad Dum II. "Man of Steel"
- Artist: Kvothe Aero
-
Description:
This poem is a fun, somewhat ambitious attempt to put words behind Howard Shore's masterpiece "The Bridge of Khazad Dum" from The Fellowship of the Ring's soundtrack. The exact moment this poem sets to begin is at 4:40 in the song. This excerpt is also famous for being used in Man of Steel's first trailer seen before The Dark Knight Rises.
