    floating beneath the deep
    I can only see the light reflected
    wrapped around in darkness
    it seems I am protected

    an endless world of twilight
    dreaming with eyes open
    a gentle drift through unending waters
    words un-needed and unspoken

    a frantic surface dweller
    you can't understand
    no matter how many times you reach
    I will not take your hand

    the light is always gentle
    and the storms don't blow at all
    in this dark water where I dwell
    why would I wish to hear your call

    don't drag me to that place
    I prefer this darker blue
    the one that should be rescued
    to me... is only you
