The breeze howled past my window.
I touched the frozen glass and looked to the stars above.
I said these simple words,
"I want a true friend."

Someone whom I can share my secrets,
Someone whom I can trust,
Someone whom I can keep forever,
Someone who will never run.

My heart ached with sadness,
Lonliness filled my joints.
If only this pain could subside,
Would I finally rejoice.

It'd be many long years spent in darkness,
And the clouds have covered my eyes.
It would remain until a light could feintly be seen,
With an angel on the other side.

It may not feel like you're very special,
But to me you'll always be.
For you have touched my heart,
And it will remain for eternity.

This may not be the best poem you've ever read... but it's written from the heart. Raven, I write this not as a lover, or as a relative, but I write this as a true friend. I love you. And I wanted you to know that.
If you ever feel lonely just know... I'll always be there for you.
You were there for me.. and you saved my life.
