I felt fear. I saw the girl with another guy, she was getting beaten up by him. I felt
anger grow as I barged in and started a fight with the man. I would have killed him
if the girl had not grabbed my arm and kept screaming “no.” I did not fight her and
dropped the man and watched as the man ran away. Why did she stop me? Why
does she let this man live after he had beaten her up so badly? The girl looked at
me with swollen eyes from crying so much. I put my hand on her cheek and lightly
rubbed a darkening bruise on her face. This made her wince a bit in pain, she did
not stop looking at me. It looked like she was going to cry again. I put my arms
around her telling her everything was alright now. to my surprise she hugged me
back. could she actually share my feelings for her? could she actually love me
back? I cared not, for she was in my arms, so close to my heart. I could only pray
that this moment would last forever, and for a demon forever is a long time, but
nothing good lasts forever.
I heard yelling in the background and one word stood out the most, the
word "demon". I was to be killed or chased out of the village, never to return. I
looked at her, she already was looking at me with tears streaming down her face. I
told her to come with me but she shook her head. She was a woman of importance
in the village, if she left they would never stop looking for her and would probably
kill me with no second thoughts. I cared not but she still refused to come with me. I
heard the voices grow louder. I told her I will come back, I will come back for her.
With that said I ran, I ran determined to come back for her. I will not leave her
here just to be hurt. I will save her.
