It has been many years since that day. The village has always had people out
guarding the village in case I was come back for her. I looked down knowing that
today was another failure to get her back. I could not blend in with the humans to
just walk in there. I started to walk around and suddenly stopped in my tracks for I
saw the place where we first met, when I asked her to teach me all of the feelings.
I looked down for I still did not understand the feeling of being sad. I smelled
something new in the air, I thought for a moment. I knew this smell, but what was
it? I looked up in shock, for it was her that I smelt. when I looked up I almost
choked because I saw a middle aged woman.
I took a step forward, the woman smelled just like her, the woman I loved. I
took a few more steps and was now in view. The woman turned her head and gazed
at me with a gasp and soon started to cry. I looked into her eyes and knew that the
woman was the girl I loved. She stud up quickly and ran at me while I willingly
opened my arms and once again we were joined in an embrace. I felt her skin, it
was rough with age and hard work. the girl I knew was here but her dazzling beauty
has left her out in the road to get poured on by rain.
