Chapter One Part One of More Days As Friends
The moment you've all been waiting sooo long for! Chapter 1 Part 1!

Chapter One
Allana & Kevin

I walked up the stairs to Nobel house. I had received a letter in the mail that told me what house I was in. I pushed through the crowds, looking for room E 212, the science room. I found it, and sat at a desk in the corner of the class. I only recognized two children in my home room. Tom and Quinn. Neither of them were my friend, but I was glad that I knew some people. They said hi. I looked for my new home room teacher. Her name was Mrs. McDonald.
“Hello chickies, my name is Mrs. McDonald, and you will have me for whatever period you get assigned science. Not all the schedules are printed out, so you will sit here and talk quietly or read while we wait for the rest of the schedules.”
Tom raised his hand. “Why did you call us chickies?” The class giggled.
“I call all my students chickies, unless you misbehave. Then I call you mooks.” More giggles.
The morning announcements came on. “Teachers, the schedules will be printed and ready soon, maybe tomorrow. We are sorry for the wait. In the mean time, we understand that the students are anxious to leave, but please, keep them in their home room classes and only let them out for emergencies or lunch. Thank you.” Boos and groans escaped the students. I too was ready to leave, but I calmed down and read a book. I finished my book, and became bored.
I thought about this morning, waking up and not feeling the aura of joy I had felt over the summer. I knew at that moment that something was wrong. I suddenly realized what. Over the summer, my joyful I’m-Liz-And-I’m-Carefree days started when I expressed my feelings to my boyfriend, Evan. I opened up to him. I told him how I felt about him. All my emotions toward him put into one message. I had felt so gleeful, a feeling I’d never had before. I wished it would stay with me for the rest of life. But now, just like that, the happiness had been replaced with sprinkles of old misery. The misery I thought I had locked away and swallowed the key. But it had escaped its prison. I needed to lock it away, to never return. I was sick of feeling this jumbled up cross of misery and fake joy. I devised a plan. I would express myself again. I would express my lost joy. I would wear blue, my favorite color. I would wear my favorite outfit. I would be who the true me is. I would be Elizabeth Marie Treichel the best as I had ever been her. And I would be happy again. My thoughts were interrupted.
“Students, line up! We are allowed to go show you your lunch seats! We will be having lunch at this time, so please bring your lunch money or lunch box! I have your class arrangements, so you will sit with the same class at the same table every day. Each class has two tables. Now, when we get there, I will tell everyone where to sit!” Mrs. McDonald announced.
We reached the lunch room. I looked around. There was a class behind us. I looked at the line. The teacher had red hair up in a bun and was wearing a floral dress. She wore a name tag that read “MS. SNIDER” in big letters. Next to her name was a small photo.
“Liz!” I heard someone shout. I looked to the right. It was Evan!
“Ev!” I yelled. I waved and blushed. He blew me a kiss.
“Ok, students! When your name is called, you will sit at the table with the teacher that called you! I am Mrs. McDonald, and if I call you, you come with me after lunch!” Mrs. McDonald said. She called the names on her list. She called Mike Bell, a friend of mine. No me.
“Hello, I’m Mr. Mosca, and If I call your name, please sit here.” He read the names on the list. I recognized several names. He called me.
“Elizabeth?” I heard. I looked in the direction of the voice. I saw a girl that looked very familiar...
