Even now that you are no longer here
The world still goes on, each and every day
I still here the laughter of everyone beside me
Though I can no longer see them, for the tears before me
You are no longer here to hold me
Telling me each day that everything will be ok
You are no longer here to help me
When all hope is lost and darkness surrounds me
I still cry even though I’ve promised not to
But I’m getting stronger each day
With your last promise in mind, I strive forward
The best that I can, with a smile and not a tear
I miss you
But I know you are watching over me from above
So I’ll keep walking forward
Until I am with you again, my friend
