Zed for Something starting with Zed. I dunno. It sounded cool. Anyway. Things here that I want to save, rants, updates, etc. Yeah......
A onexone Roleplay that I don't want to clog my inbox with
Amid the busy streets of a New England town, a young woman dashed along, down a block, across a street, and down another lane. She skidded to a halt, her dark hair flying, in front of a library, her face eager and expectant. As soon as she saw the sign reading 'Closed', her face fell, and she heaved a huge sigh. "Just my luck!"

Down the street from the library a young man was walking down the street, a hood casting a shadow over his face and his hands in his pockets. Each step he made a small patch of ice would be left behind from under his foot.

A put-out expression on her face, she re-adjusted her scarf as a brisk autumn breeze suddenly sprang up, blowing her long hair about until she finally reached up and tied it back. Turning around so she wasn't facing the wind as much, she looked across the street and saw a bookshop, recently opened up. A bookshop isn't as good as a Library, but it'll have to do! She thought before hurrying across the street. She had almost reached the door when she slipped on a small patch of ice, and fell flat on her back, the wind knocked out of her. She gasped, trying to breath as her brain registered pain, especially in her back.

it was a patch of ice he had just made and he turned around looking down at her. he kneeled down to see if she was alright then put his hand out to help her up "it looks like you had quite a fall, how'd you fall anyway?"

"I'm not sure..." She gasped. Still trying to catch her breath, she let the stranger help her up, but then slipped on the same ice footprint and fell onto him.

he caught her and the ice print for where he was standing was starting to seep from under the area of his shoe and show.

"Um, thank you." She said, catching her breath. Well, in the arms of a handsome stranger, maybe not.... She stood up and looked down, seeing a few patches of ice. "Ice?" She said, confused. The breeze whirled around them, blowing her scarf askew again. She flipped it over one shoulder again, still studying the ice. Then, she saw the shape of the ice, and ice under his shoe... She looked up at him, a question in her eyes.

he let her stand on her own when she wanted to. when he saw the questioning looking in her eyes he looked at her confused "umm is something wrong?"

She pursed her lips. "I don't know, you tell me." She said, slightly suspiciously. "Is there a reason you're leaving footprints of ice?"

He was caught off guard when she asked this and then looked down at his feet than back at her "uhh i have somewhere i need to be" he turned and walked off, when he stepped ice though he showed no sign of slipping or even starting to.

She stood there, staring at his retreating figure for a moment. The breeze grew stiffer, blowing cold in their faces. Then, she raced after him, being careful not to step on the ice. "Wait!" She called. "What's your name?" She asked as she caught up with him. In hindsight, it wasn't exactly what most people would of asked first, but she wasn't most people. Most definitely not.

He turned to her hearing her voice "Oh, my name is Soryu, and yours?"

She was rather surprised that he had answered, but after a short pause, she smiled warmly and stuck out a mittened hand to shake. "I'm Piper, nice to meet you."

he shook her hand and even though she wore mittens her hand go cold which lead him to let go quickly, then he walked off again.

Piper let him go this time; she decided that she needed to think awhile before she approached Soryu again. Her hand prickling with cold, she stepped inside an adjacent coffee shop and got a cup of tea to both drink and warm her fingers. In fact, meeting Soryu had brought to head suspicions that she had long held; that things were not always as they seemed. Every mother tells their child that they are special, but Piper was starting to think that they were people who were perhaps more special, or special in quite a different way. This might be far-fetched.... what evidence do I have? She pondered. Well, Soryu for one. He was very cold.... It seemed unlikely that the ice formed there naturally. And then, too, the temperature of his hands was drastically below normal human temperatures! He didn't stick around either, which is suspicious. Maybe he had a place to be, but wouldn't he of said so in farewell? He just walked off, which makes me think he was hiding something. And then, herself for two. For years now she had noticed that the weather was very much to her liking... and if it wasn't, and she noticed it wasn't, it seemed to change rather quickly. One day she had wished very hard for a thunder storm, and low and behold, it started storming within.... minutes. And if that wasn't weird, nothing was. Leaving a small tip on the table, Piper walked outside and started following the trail of ice patches, being careful not to slip.

apparently Soryu didn't go too far because he was sitting on some rocks just down the road, the rocks were already frozen through but he didnit seem to show any signs at ALL of slipping or sliding.

Piper thought about sitting beside him, but then decided against it. Frostbite on your derrière, she decided, was probably not the most pleasant experience. Thus, she simply came up to him, and stood there casually. "Hey, Soryu?" She said, a bit hesitantly.

he was caught off guard by the sudden voice and stood facing her, all the ice immediately retreated to him and the rocks were normal again "yea?"

She took a deep breath before speaking. "Do you consider yourself... different? And have you ever met anyone who was different too? I..." Piper hesitated. "I seem to be a part of it somehow, so anything you can tell me would be nice." Her voice trailed off, and she shifted uncomfortably, fiddling with her scarf.

"yes I consider myself different and no I haven't met anyone else like me"
