Appearance:Jo stands about 5' 10" inches wich is small for a elf, she has a lean but muscular build. Puberty wasn't very kind to her, she's not very curvaceous, but she's still growing. Jo has very short black hair, with red streaks, that she stands on end via la gel. Her eye colors are very strange, she has deep cold violet and one jade green eye. she has naturally tanned skin, and usually wheres loose fitting mens clothing. She usually dresses in a long sleeved button up shirt. The sleeves of her shirt tucked into her long leather gloves. Underneath she wheres a white undershirt, and bostee(sp?) for lift, with a pair of black pantaloons tucked neatly into her calf high brown leather boots. Her ears are small, and sharply curved, She wears several silver earrings in her right ear to symbolize how many ships she has served on.
Background:
Jo is literally a 'jane of all trades.', her mother was supposedly 'raped by her father.' which was a lie that her adopted family told her. Her mother unfortunately died during, jo's birth and her father being a sailing man, was lost at sea years ago, Jo was then taken in by her mothers family. They made certain that jo knew that she was a mistake, highly abusing her,blaming her for her mothers death. Jo, ran away as quickly as she could taking to the streets alone. She became a thief, a skilled hand to hand fighter, and a mistral. She wanders aimlessly through life, she rarely speaks, unless it is truly necessary.
Sample rp:
All she ever wanted was to be loved. Jo stared out at the sea, her violet eyes empty of any sign of life. The wind carrying the heavy sent of the sea pushed her short black hair waved in the wind playfully. She sat lazily in the crows nest of the ship, one leg close to her chest, and the other lying flat against the wood of the ship.
She dressed as a man, this way she could move freely about, without those bloody comments of her being a woman. "You should be married! Where are your parents? Dress like a laddie!" She spat on the ground to that thought, she didn't wish for such a thing to happen to her, her violet eyes suddenly sparking with life. Then again, if it was found out she was a female, dressed in men's clothing she would probably be hung. She had a very free spirit, she did not wished to be constrained to a dress, and a child on her hip. That is probably why she always found herself on a pirate ship of all things.
She coughed slightly as she watched the sun paint the sky as it slowly began to rest. She tuned her Guitar(or lute whichever is more appropriate). The sailors below smiled as they herd the trickle of notes swim down through the still sea air to their ears. "Come down and play!" called out a sailor. Jo smiled as she slowly stood up, stretching out her long lean arms. She leaned forward, her strange eyes consumed those below, she lifted a gloved hand to her ear, as if to say, "do what now?" She hated to speak, it hurt her to do so. She never spoke unless it was truly necessary. "come down with us and play!" called out a sailor. She grinned showing off her white teath, she then turned on her heal of her boot and made her way down to the deck of the ship.

Journal log #1:
The way she looked at me haunts me as i walk on this dark lonely path. Wherever i went, i was always met with hatred and prejudice. I had to disguise myself as a man, just to make certain i wouldn't be killed by eradicable. However, i can't always assume hatred will meet me. She saw with me with love in her eyes.
I first met her, when i saved her from falling overboard Capitan Deranger's ship. I guess it was then she fell for me, even though i never spoke. Or dignified her admiration with a second glance. However, she met me one night and kissed me so harshly my lips bleed. "i know your a woman..." she whispered ever so softly. "but i love you Jo. I won't hurt you Jo, none of us on this ship would ever dream f harming you because of whom you are." she teared up beginning to cry. She didn't understand, love between two woman is forbidden. Let alone my disguise, i was always in danger because of it. If found out in a kingdom, i would be hanged or burned at the stake. I couldn't love her, i couldn't return her affections. I am always followed by danger, hate, i saddened. Her eyes pleading, for me to speak. But no words came to my lips.
I pushed her away, with a gloved hand, how can she love something like me? I gave her a powerful smile. I then took a step back, i couldn't. I passed by her, as if hearing nothing. I left the ship, not wanting to throw the ones i favored in danger. I had let them get too close to me, i saddened as i left the pirate ship. She stood on the deck of 'The Raven', sobbing screaming me not to leave them. I didn't even look back, i had to continue on, try to find what i am looking for. I won't rest until, i find the peace i am looking for.

Personality:: At first glance Jo is often mistaken for a either very shy woman or a mute. Those who know her best, will tell you she isn't shy, but she isn't one to talk. She rarely speaks, unless the occasion calls for it, do to an old injury in the base of her neck. She is very brave, tough as nails, and very faithful to her captain and crew mates. She also has one hell of a temper, it's best not to get on her bad side. She's also very smart, she picks up other languages easily and is one of few low crew members who can actually read. She is very cold towards strangers, and has no problem killing enemies. However, she absolutely loves music and to dance, a way to gain her friendship is to offer to dance with her. A way to gain her trust is to sing along when she plays her guitar
Biography:: Jo was born into poverty, along with many others. However she was different from all the others, do to the strange color of her eyes, she was deemed a child of Satin himself. Her parents were brutally hunted down and killed, Jo was miraculasly saved by a slave trader of all things. the slave trader took her out to sea with him and three years later sold the small child to a rich family. however, the Lord who bought Jo became very obsessed with her. One day he tried to rape her, she fought back. And because of her rejection he cut a knife deep into her throat and left her for dead on a empty ally way street. Once again fortune smiled on her and she was saved by a priest, who took her in and raised her like she was his own. Unfortunately the priest was elderly and died when she turned thirteen. with no where to go, and people still thinking she was some sort of demon, Jo took to the seas joining the 'The Sailing Sirens’.
