The Adventures of Kyobi 7 |

Mika dodged the attack of the statues. Hannah put Kyobi down for a second and threw a punch the smashed the head of one of the statues to pieces. Mika took one of her explosive tags and wrapped it around her kunai. She tossed them into the statue, where they stuck and eventually exploded, shattering the statue into bits. "Well that was easy. But it hurt my hand, so let's try not doing that again?" Hannah said. Mika nodded, she only had a short supply of explosive tags, she held most of them in reserve for her plan after they were done here. Hannah picked the sleeping Kyobi and slumped him on her shoulder. They opened the door and proceeded to a hallway. Mika was about to speak but was interrupted by Kyobi's snoring. "Something you wanted to say Mika?" Hannah asked. "No nothing. It's just. Kyobi beeing half Lycan disturbs me." Mika said. "But he said his dad's DNA kept him from transformation. You don't believe him?" Hannah asked. "No I don't, I believe he was telling what he believed, not the truth. It's a proven fact that minor Lycans lose memory of the carnage they cause in their state. And you heard what he said earlier, about the destruction when he woke up after falling asleep on a full moon?" Mika said. "You're scaring me. Are you saying I'm carrying a bloodthirsty killing machine here?" Hannah asked nervously. "Well, I can certainly tell he's free of evil motives and such. I'm sure he'd never do it on purpose. Besides, we'll fine out tonight." Mika said. "What do you mean?" Hannah asked. "Theres a full moon coming tonight, and that is only a few hours from now." Mika said. Hannah was nervous but kept a firm belief that Kyobi would do no such thing.
They entered a hall which had guardian statues lined up on both sides of the room, making up an army of thirty statues, fifteen on each side. "Mika, we have a problem." Hannah said. They statues were inanimate but she knew there was evil life lurking within their hollow stone bodies. As did Mika, as she sat down trying to think of something. There was nothing they could use to sneak around or above the statues. Just then, a mouse appeared sniffing and hopping around, it was silent but quite big for a mouse. It should have been quite easy for the statues to spot it but the statues did nothing. "I guess they're not alive after all, statues are mindless, they'd kill even mice." Mika said as she rose up and was about to walk when she noticed the mouse squeek, this made the nearby statues look at it and crush it with it's foot. Hannah looked away in disgust, Mika however found this very useful as she now knew how to get past them. "Whatever you do Hannah, be silent. Ok? Totally, utterly silent." Mika said. Hannah nodded and they slowly snuck past halfway, Mika's idea worked as usual. Everything went smooth, until, "A-TCHOO! Ugh, it's cold in here, hey what's with those statues, why are they looking at us? Don't look at us! Look at yourself! You stone cold piece of junk!" Kyobi came with a loud sneeze and started yelling. "Oh...crap." Mika and Hannah said and made quick run for it. All thirty statues came to life and tried to stop them but they slid between the feet of one of them and escaped through the exit. Mika placed an explosive tag in the ceiling and made it cave in as it exploded. "Whew. Safe at last." Hannah said. "I wouldn't say that just yet." Mika said.
Staring them into their faces were molten giants guarding a tiny door compared to their size, the door the lead to the inner chamber of the castle. They immediatly shot red molten rocks that surrounded them. "...I hope you got an idea for this one Mika." Hannah terrified. Mika was surprisingly calm under this situation. "How can you be so calm at a time like this!?" Hannah said. "...I guess it's like pain really, too much fear and you eventually stop feeling it..." Mika said. They were looking at a seemingly hopeless situation. The molten rocks were closing in on them. "I got it! Hold on to me Hannah!" Mika yelled. Hannah held around Mika's waist. Mika started growing out wings from her arms that allowed her to fly, she also grew tail feathers in this state. Mika took to the air. Despite Hannah's strength, she wasn't that heavy. In fact, she was surprisingly light. But this was no time to lose focus over such things. Hannah carrying Kyobi didn't make the weight any lighter for Mika as she ascended above the molten rocks which eventually would have engulfed the trio. She slowly descended and took time to catch her breath as her wings returned to their normal size. "You forgot you could fly!?" Hannah asked. "Well, things like that can easily be forgotten in those kind of situations. Anyway, I don't know what we can do about those two there." Mika said. Hanna dropped Kyobi for a second and picked up a large rock. She tossed it violently at one of them, it splattered the head into pieces but the lava flowed back into it's previous state. "This...is not good." They both said.
The giants moved closer to Hannah and Mika. But this was excactly what Mika had hoped for. "Now Hannah! Run!!!" Mika yelled and ran between the legs of the molten giant. Hannah picked Kyobi up and ran with her. Mika tried to open the door but it was locked. "Damn it!" Mika yelled as she pushed and pulled the door. Hannah pushed Mika aside and ripped the door off it's hinges, they both ran into the stairway that led up before the giants could do anything. They reached the inner chamber, it was like the entire castle architecture: The core chamber suspended by bridges above a pool of lava. "Deja vu?" Mika said. "Yeah, like the entire thing outside, only smaller." Hannah replied. They walked over a stone bridge and but stopped. "Did you sense something?" Mika asked. "No, you stopped so I just thought I should too." Hannah replied. Mika started walking forward but dropped on the ground. "Mika!" Hannah yelled and approached her but was also knocked out by an invisible electrical force. Both Mika and Hannah were now out cold, with Kyobi lying on Hannah's back woke up but was punched in the face and knocked out again by something also invisible.
Kyobi slowly woke and found himself in a room that was like a mix of a cave and a large square office. Kyobi found himself in a cage, as did Mika and Hannah. Mika's bag of ninja tools were gone, she spotted them on a table nearby. Mika had already picked the lock but decided to wait to see the mastermind behind all this. "You alright Hannah? Mika?" Kyobi asked. "We're fine, how about you? Still got brain damage from earlier?" Mika asked. "Funny you should mention, the only thing I remember is me slamming into the castle wall and now I got a skull splitting headache." Kyobi said. They heard steps from sairs located in the middle of the room, a tall man with blonde hair, expensive suit and a glass of wine in his hand came down from the stairs. He stared into the cages at Kyobi, Hannah and Mika. "Hakusho I assume?" Kyobi said. "Correct my scaly friend. I am lord Hakusho." He said. "As, so you're the boss around here?" Kyobi asked. "No, not just around, I'm the boss to surpass any boss in the world." Hakusho replied. "...I see. Why did you send those ninjas after me earlier yesterday?" Kyobi asked. "Simple, I've heard great things about Kyobi Kyrac Wulfang. Your mother was a Lycan I hear. Is that true?" Hakusho asked. "My family matter is none of your buisness." Kyobi replied. Hakusho reached into a pocket, took a gun and shot just above Hannah's shoulder, making a tiny cut across her cheek. "What the hell are you doing!?" Kyobi yelled. "I won't ask again. Is she a Lycan? Answer or I'll kill one of them." Hakusho said. "Soulless b*****d." Kyobi said. Hakusho shot Mika in the shoulder and Hannah in the leg. "Watch your mouth or it'll get much worse than that." Hakusho said. Mika ripped off some of her pants and used it as bandage. "Do that again, I'll rip you to shreds!" Kyobi said grasping the bars of the cage. "Shut up and answer the damn question before I need to waste more bullets on scum like you!" Hakusho said and pointed the gun towards Hannah's head, then at Mika's. "Grrr, yes. She was a Lycan, so what!? Let them go they got nothing to do with this, it's me you want!" Kyobi yelled. "True, but I brought you here to extract the powers you contain, your diety, your katana. You'll have noticed you can't summon your katana as we speak. That is becouse around this castle I have had my servants place beacons that blocks out your kind of magic. Now, as we all know, this magic is extremely powerful and will help me very well in my quest for world domination. And you Kyobi, have excactly what I need. My servants will bring a summoner here soon, it'll summon something to extract your power and allow me to use it. Simple and painless...you will die though." Hakusho said. "I don't care just let my friends go!" Kyobi said. "Not likely. You see, you've given me quite alot of trouble by killing my summoned creatures, jailing my servant, sneaking in here, this is all an embarrasment to me! And for that, you'll all die here. I'll toss you wretches into the lava before I work on Kyobi here. But before that, I need some fun." Hakusho said and shot both Hannah and Mika again, Mika was hit in a vital spot, coughing up blood and cringing in pain. "No! You b*****d!" Kyobi yelled as his released a destructive energy wave which destroyed the roof of the room which revealed what Mika and Hannah feared the most in their presence with Kyobi: The full moon.
Kyobi started growing fur and as he grew in size, so did his claws and fangs. He ripped the cage open and lunged at Hakusho. Surpisingly he blocked him and threw him back. Hakusho took off his jacket, despite his weak appearence, Hakusho was quite muscular and had numerous scars on him. With the last sensible thing in Kyobi's mind he yelled in a twisted voice. "I...will...KILL YOUU!!!" He charged towards him and reared up on two feet, hammering at Hakusho, he blocked the most of attacks but was hit once that sendt him flying into the wall. Kyobi jumped at him, keeping him pinned as he launched a barrage of destructive punches. Kyobi was then knocked back into the opposite wall. Hakusho was much stronger than he looked. An epic clash between the monster on the outside, and the monster on the inside. Who would emerge victorious?
