A Pokemon's Journey 2: The Journey begins |

Later that day they visited the local professor, Rowan. He promised to keep this a secret. "Well, this most certainly is unusual. I've never seen anything like this in my life. How does it feel Cyrus?" He asked. "Well, the wierdness that's going through my body right now is pretty hard to put into words. Let's just stick with the fact that I'm a pokemon now, how do I transform back?" Cyrus asked. "Ah yes, that is a question I am much unable to answer, tell me, what did you see in the forest yesterday?" Rowan asked. "I don't know, it was way too bright, I remember seeing something but...I don't remember. It's like I got it at the tip of my tongue but it stays blank. As if it's been...erased." Cyrus said. "Was it Palkia?" Hannah asked. "No...something tells me it was anything but Palkia." Cyrus replied. "I don't know what I can do to help you Cyrus, I'm afraid unless it's only temporary, you're stuck like this." Rowan said. Cyrus slammed his head on the desk he was sitting on. "Stop doing that Cyrus, you're going to hurt yourself." Hannah said. "Hmm...according to the computer, you've transformed into Riolu. It's a very rare pokemon indeed." Rowan said. "I don't care, I just wanna be Human again!" Cyrus yelled with a tear in his big eye. "I'm sorry I...no wait, there is one person I know who could help you!" Rowan said. "Really? Who? Who!?" Cyrus asked. "Yeah Rowan, who can help Cyrus return to normal. I just think it's a little sad cuz Cyrus is so much cuter now than before." Hannah said. "You know Hannah, I may be a pokemon, but I still have fists." Cyrus said. "Calm down, I'm just kidding, although I do think you are cute." Hannah said "Ok, that's enough of that, thanks!" Cyrus said. "Well, as I was saying, Professor Oak from Kanto is a professional with pokemon, he's also been known to have solved some quite difficult and near impossible mysteries in his career, if theres someone you should talk to, it's him." Rowan said. "Woah woah woah! Hang on a sec here, did you just say, Kanto? Kanto!? Do you have any idea how far away that is!?" Cyrus asked. "I know very well tha path to Kanto is a long and perilious one, that's why I have decided to give you, Hannah, a pokemon so you can begin your adventure. After all, wild pokemon aren't known to be easily intimidated by Humans." Rowan said. Hannah almost couldn't believe it. "Really? Awesome! But...I don't need one, cuz I got this cutie right here." Hannah said and hugged Cyrus. "Hannah, earlier I told you I had fists, if you don't let go of me within 3 seconds, I will be forced to use them!" Cyrus said. Hannah reluctantly let go but giggled slightly. "It's not funny!" Cyrus said. Hannah tried to resist the urge to giggle out loud, she barely managed but she kept silent.
"I have a pokemon here for you, and with Riolu, I mean Cyrus with you, that makes 2 pokemon, you may consider yourself lucky." Rowan said. "Why are you giving me a pokemon when I got cute- uhh, I mean Cyrus here?" Hannah asked. "Becouse I am quite sure that Cyrus has zero experience in combat and with his new pokemon DNA." Rowan replied. "Hey! I've seen fighting movies and wrestling since I was 3, I know some moves!" Cyrus said. "He's got a point there Professor." Hannah said. "Yes well, take it anyway, it was meant to be a birthday gift for you next year but I guess you won't be here then, eh?" Rowan said. Hannah's face beamed as she recieved the pokeball from Rowan. She released the pokemon to reveal the firey chimp, Chimchar. "Oh yay! I've wanted one of these. Hi, I'm Hannah." She said and smiled. The Chimchar seemed a little nervous but also seemed to accept Hannah as its trainer and friend. "I like you, you seem nice." It said. "Eek! You can talk too?" Hannah asked shocked. Rowan looked puzzled at her. "What are you talking about Hannah? It only speaks its own name, what's gotten into you?" Rowan asked. The Chimchar looked surprised at her. "You understand me? The professor can't understand me for I speak the language of pokemon, you must be gifted." It said. "What are you talking about?" Hannah asked. Before Chimchar could reply, Rowan said "They speak the pokemon language which is also a great mystery to us. But enough of that, you should be on your way." Rowan said. "But what about my mom? What is she going to say?" Cyrus asked. "Hm, relax, I'll think of a way to tell her." Rowan replied. Chimchar looked over at Cyrus and hopped onto the desk. It sniffed a little on him and jumped down again. "You speak the language of Humans...that is interesting." It said. "What I think is interesting is that you could say all that by just saying your name all the time." Cyrus said. "You can understand Chimchar, Cyrus?" Rowan asked. "Yeah pretty much. Can we go now, this wierd feeling is really bothering me." Cyrus said. "Sure thing cutie." Hannah said, she ran with Chimchar out of the door giggling. "I'll get you Hannah!" Cyrus yelled and ran after her. After saying goodby and to her mother and having Rowan telling Cyrus's mom he was safe and sound with Hannah, he never mentioned the transformation. They both looked at the path that led out of town.
And so it began.
