I stayed up till 1:30 last night and then crassshed.

Mom woke me up at 10 AM cuz I need to try to get my schedule back on track.

Starbucks are a bunch of fascist bitches. Not all of them. But most of them.
I'd like to work at a SB here cuz the one I live next to in Japan is hiring, and I figure I am more likely to be hired there if I come in with previous experience since Japan is more than a little racists and I highly doubt they would hire me as a random walk in. So I've applied here and besides the fact that I think Americans are rude, most of the SBs I've gone to are just bitches. Examples:

SB #1
Me: Is your store manager in?
Worker: No but the a**'t Mng is.
Me: Great! Could you pass this on to her?
Worker: Sure!
<Hands a**'t mng. app.>
Me: <waits at counter as a**'t mng. makes drinks>
a**'t Mng: ....

Complaint: YOU'RE THE FREAKIN a**'T MNG. WHO JUST RECEIVED AN APP. Couldn't you at least say "Hi" or "Thanks for applying" for MAKE EYE CONTACT with me, rather than completely ignore me while you make a drink?
She was a butch lesbian anway.

SB #2
No complain. a**'t Mng. was actually nice. She told me when they review applications and when to expect a call if they choose to hire. Very helpful.

SB #3
[Repeat SB #1 Convo. with modifications: a**'t mng. not in]
Worker: The manager opens tomorrow, you can come by then
(Next day)
Me: Is your manager in today?
Worker: Yes.
...
Me: ...Can I speak with her?
Worker: Her name is Kaime.
...
Me: <Waits at counter for a chance to get Kaime's attn.>
...

Conclusion: Unless you were trying to give a lesson in semantics, "Is your manager in" kinda implies I would like to speak to her. When I asked to speak, you could have gotten her attn. What did you expect me to do? Flag her down and yell her name? And why the frick didn't the manager even look over at me when I asked for her?

SB makes no eye contact. Only one person was friendly. Previous-day workers at SB #3 were nice, but the manager was a b***h.
Ergo, Americans are rude, and SB is fascits.

So after the SB #3 experience we went by my former employer's restaurant to see if they needed any help. Had yummy breakfast there. Had a chit chat with my former boss, but I couldn't bring myself to ask for work because 1) she is kinda scary and 2) After being rejected by SB I was kinda out of it. But in the car my parents encouraged me to go back so I did and turns out my manager was interested I was back in town for while. Maybe she will give me a call.
