His job of being Von Karthaig’s invisible Hand is quite lonely and though he has taken many lovers (usually as part of his job) he has no permanent mate.
Eventually has a regular lover in Sho, current Sensei of Lan School and is able to share a little of his load with her she knows the lonely life of a Hound from 1st hand experience.
He always wished he had a younger sibling with whom he could interact with the way Uncle Ty interacts with his little sister, Aunt Bea.
When Ty isn’t available he stays with his Aunt Kayli to detox. Around her he can truly be himself because she doesn’t judge him in anything he says/does. She just accepts him as is and so does her husband Kyle. She is like a mother to him and an ever-present source of comfort. He can discuss anything with Kayli, even the classified stuff, and get an honest, practical and mostly unbiased opinion. More to the point his commander/Liege lady knows about it and not only approves but encourages it.
