Saki seemed overjoyed to have a visitor in the house. Kiryo seemed fascinated in Cyani and Saki’s other experiments, asking many questions, most of which Saki couldn't answer since he would be in big trouble if the government found out his experiments and their creation. Saki decided it was his turn to seek information from the young magician. He asked one question after another to Kiryo, but after a long seemingly endless silence, he gave up deciding Kiryo would give him no answers.

Our family's research lab is on the outskirts of town, so no one really bothers us, unless we are in serious trouble. The last time we had visitors was 2 years ago when we received news our parents died of a strange illness. After that Saki became obsessed with father research of various elixirs of life and creating things out of different materials. Brother cried that whole day, but for some reason I didn't cry at all. Maybe it was because brother was crying enough for both of us or maybe I felt I had to be strong for brother otherwise we wouldn't be able to continue on. It was nice to have a new face around to free us of our solitude. Brother seemed happy too so I was relieved.

"Saiken...Saiken!" Cyani said landing on my head frantically calling out my name. "Huh? What is it Cyani?" I said annoyed that Cyani was being three times louder than normal. "One of the experiments escaped! Not one of the gentile hearted ones like me either. It was Decius...you know the dog-like creature with intensified vision..." Cyani said as I quickly darted for the basement where Saki kept his "dangerous" experiments in confinement. Sure enough the cage that held Decius was torn to pieces and Decius was no where to be found. I found Saki on his knees kneeling in front of Decius' cage staring at the palm of his hand. It wasn't until I got closer that I could see blood on Saki's hands and splattered on his lab coat. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew for sure I had to get brother out of here for the time being. Cyani uses one of her powers of shape shifting (she obtained from the experiments) and turns into a human girl with long silver hair and blue-green eyes. "Sai...the well. lets take the master outside...must wash off the blood." Cyani said hardly able to speak in the human tongue, which only moments ago she was easily able to speak telepathically to Saki and I. As Cyani and I helped Saki clean up at the well, Kiryo used his magic to clean up the remaining blood. "Revitalize, Renew, Restore." As Kiryo said these words a light breeze filled the room clearing away the blood and also repairing Decius' cage as it passed by.

"I wonder what happened here. It wasn't like that thing just escaped...more like there was a fight and something got injured very badly...Saki must know something, but I better wait to ask him until he calms down." Kiryo said to himself as he returned upstairs and walked outside to the well. "Saki's asleep. Cyani is looking after him." I said to Kiryo before he had a chance to ask anything. "Oh...I see. I'm glad he is ok now." Kiryo said trying to be optimistic even though things were looking rather bad at the moment.
