Chapter 9, Waiting

“Stop pacing.” Tsunade told Seanna.
“It’s been an hour! “ Seanna said. Tsunade just sighed. What is going on. It isn’t like him to be late. I’ve got a bad feeling….
“I’m going to his house. “ Seanna declared. Tsunade looked shocked.
“Why?” She asked.
“I’ve got a bad feeling.”
“Then bring Onken with you.” Tsunade said.
“Where am I going?” Onken asked, coming into the room at that exact moment.
“Coming with me to Ryoku’s house. Come on.” Seanna said, dragging Onken out the door. Tsunade just chuckled. They headed there at full speed, arriving in under 5 minutes. Seanna heard talking. She and Onken creeped to the backyard. They peered out of the bushes to see Ryoku fighting a group of ninjas.
“Don’t jump in right away.” Onken said. Seanna just nodded.
“Listen first.” Seanna said, “I didn’t forget everything you taught me.”
Onken smiled. “Good.”
As he was fighting, they all stopped and parted to let a woman through with red hair that was black at the ends. She was wearing a black tank top and black shorts. She had an evil look on her face.
“What do you want?” Ryoku asked coldly. She laughed.
“There’s no need to know. You’ll be dead soon anyways. “ With that, she laughed again. Ryoku got ready for another attack, holding his katana a little bit tighter.
“I don’t think so….” Seanna whispered in a low voice.
“What did you say?” Onken asked. She looked up with an evil expression. Her eyes had gone from blue to sharingan. Onken knew what this meant.
“Wait!” He yelled, but too late. Seanna jumped into the battle, killing 3 of the 10 ninja with only a kunai. She stood in the middle of the remaining 7 ninja. Ryoku looked over from his fight with the leader. He was shocked to see Seanna there.
“What are you doing here?” He asked Seanna. She didn’t reply, instead, she started weaving hand signs. Ryoku’s attention was diverted back to his own fight. The remaining 7 ninja sprang to attack, but just as they did so Seanna finished weaving hand signs.
“Firestorm jutsu!” Everything around her was ingulfed in flames as little balls of fire rained down from the sky. Onken had jumped in to help Ryoku as she used the jutsu. As soon as the lead ninja saw this, she ran into the woods.
“Come on! We can’t let her get away!” Onken yelled. Seanna and Ryoku followed just behind.
“Seanna, how did you know something was wrong?” Ryoku asked.
“Its not like you to be late, besides, you know that Onken would kill you if you were too late so I knew there must be something wrong.” Seanna said.
“I think we might lose her! She’s too fast! “ Onken yelled.
“Darnnit.” Seanna said.
“Don’t get too upset. She’s not worth it.” Ryoku said.
“She tried to kill you. That’s not something to be taken lightly.” Seanna replied.
“But she didn’t. That’s all that matters.” Ryoku replied. Seanna calmed down a little.
“True, but I think they are the ones who left the note about Tsukia.” Seanna said.
“Then we have to find them.” Ryoku said.
