Seanna walked to the one place she knew her friend was likely to be around dinner time, his favorite ramen shop. I’m going to tell him, as long as he doesn’t seem to mad. I hope he likes me. She laughed at herself. Listen to me, fretting like a teenager. He either likes me or he doesn’t worrying won’t help anything. She walked over to the ramen shop and sat down. She waited for a few minutes, which felt like hours, and then finally she saw spiky red hair.
“Seanna? Your back!” He ran and hugged her, picking her up off the ground a little.
“Uhhh, could I touch the ground please?” She asked, though she really didn’t mind much. He blushed and put her down.
“So you’re not mad at me?”She asked him.
“I’m not mad, just relieved your back,” He replied. They sat down and started eating; they chatted for a while about “old times” and joked. Finally she got the nerve to tell him.
“Aru, I li-“She got cut off by her brother coming over. He noticed the silence.
“Did I interrupt something?” He asked. Seanna shock her head. Now I’ve lost the nerve.
“Who is this?” Her brother asked, eyeing Aru warily.
“My friend,” She replied, “and this is my brother Onken.” After the two got used to each other Onken joined them. Seanna and her brother answered questions about where they had been and what they had seen traveling. Seanna told them about having students.
“Do you mind if I come and watch you teach them tomorrow?” Aru asked.
“Sure, I don’t care,” She responded. She noticed it was getting dark.
“It’s getting late, we should probably head home,” Seanna said.
“Alright, I’ll see you tomorrow,” Aru replied.
Seanna woke up her brother, who had fallen asleep right after eating and headed to her cabin. They were going to be staying there until they found a house in the village. As they walked through the woods to the cabin, Seanna felt uneasy. I feel like I’m being watched. Her brother saw her expression.
“I feel it too, walk faster,” he said. They made it to the cabin in record time. The first thing Seanna did was lock the door. She was turning around when something touched her leg. She jumped away and banged her knee on the wall. She looked to see Tundra at her feet. Her tail had brushed up against her leg. Her brother was standing in the doorway, doubled over in laughter.
“Yeah, yeah, go ahead and laugh,” She said. She was turning the same color as her hair. Onken looked up and flinched.
“I was laughing with you, not at you,” he said, while backing up. She ignored him and kept getting closer.
“Well, at least you can’t reach my head,” he said.
“Watch me,” was her response. She kept coming toward him until he backed right beside the couch, then she jumped up on the couch and whacked him in the head. Then she jumped off and stuck her tongue out at him. He just held his head.
“Do you have to hit so hard?” He asked.
“As a matter of fact, yes, I do,” Seanna said.
“I’m going to bed,” He said. He went into the bedroom; it had two beds and a bathroom. The cabin itself was actually the size of a small house. It had a living room and a kitchen. When you walked in you were in a hallway with three doors. The first on the left was the living room, the last on the left was the kitchen and the door on the right was the bedroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seanna couldn’t get to sleep. She had been falling asleep and waking up all night. She looked over at her brother. He was fast asleep. I don’t want to wake him up; I’ll go in the other room and read. She got out of bed and walked into the hallway, grabbing her broadsword and closing the door gently behind her. Then she heard footsteps in the living room. What? Someone’s in there. Good thing I grabbed my sword. Paranoia comes in handy sometimes. She slowly opened the living room door and, using her sharingan, looked for someone in the living room. She saw someone with their back to her. She snuck up, but then she hit her foot on the door and he turned around. It was the man that had attacked them earlier. She didn’t waste any time, she ducked under his reach and punched him right in the stomach. He went flying into the wall and hit it with a loud thud. He stayed there for a second then got up. He drew a sword and charged again, she grabbed her broadsword and blocked. He swung his sword at her side, she spun around him and jumped in the air and kicked him in the back. He went flying toward the wall again and this time he didn’t get back up. He sat there stunned.
“Now get out of my house,” She said in a cold voice,” Before I kill you.”
There were footsteps behind her. She didn't have time to turn around before there was a kunai at her throat.
“Move and I’ll be the one doing the killing,” a voice behind her said.
