Well, that's just my random comment for the end of the day. As for how I've been doing... There's about a week and a half of info that I can overload you with. Let's see how I do.
First, there was the College Retreat 2005. It was great. We went to Alpine Meadows in the Big Bear area and spent three days and two nights there (from Thursday to Saturday). Quite a few people came so it was kewl. But it was different from the past retreats that I went to cuz: (A) It wasn't high school anymore, so there was a lot of "down" time, and (B) Michelle was there so it was interesting. I wasn't a "loner" anymore. sweatdrop Sorry Michelle, you know I hate you.
Well, as for the specifics of the retreat, we had food, campfires, services by a great speaker named Rev. Robert Oh (-this guy rocks!-). We also had "Secret Angels" where you randomly pick a person from a list and you have to be nice to that person during the trip. But you can't let the person know that it's you. Interesting really. But I was a bad angel, I didn't do anything for the person I was supposed to be nice to. I guess you could say that I was intimidated - my person was just too perfect so I couldn't really think of anything to help her with. Bah. sweatdrop
Also, we had just a bit of interesting game time. There was this one game called the "Horse Game" where the players... Well, one of the members of the team stands against the wall while the other members put their head between the person's leg's in front of them consecutively and create a chain. Then the other team takes turns jumping onto the crouched teams backs and crawl towards the person standing against the wall and play "Rock, Paper, Sisscors!". During the game, if someone slips or the chain breaks it's an automatic game over. But if everyone makes it safely onto the backs of the other team's, then the winner of the game is whoever wins "Rock, Paper, Sisscors!". It's an... interesting game. The guys were the only ones who played. We females just watched and... took in the... view - for lack of better term.
Well, so there were games and stuff. Oh, and on the last day we hiked to a lake nearby and went canoing and swimming - though no one went swimming, it was the general plan. Then we drove back to the camp and packed up and went home. There wasn't -much- that we did - but we did enough to have a good time.
So, that was the info on retreat. As for work... Meh, it's work. My hours have changed to 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Mondays through Fridays. Other than that there's nothing really new at work. Except for the fact that Paul hasn't shown up at all. I wonder if he quit...? confused I'd like to think he'd tell me if he did. Ah well. rolleyes Whatever. Other than that, I get to pick up four kids now before I go to work. stare Joy.
And I think that's it. I already said that I'd be tutoring Ayumi-chan now from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Mondays and Thrusdays, so there's nothing else new that's work related.
As for other things in my life that don't concern church or work, I got to hang out with peoplez on Labor Day. We went to Camelot, then watched the Brother's Grimm, then went to dinner at Black Angus. Kewl day all in all. 3nodding heart Can't wait to hang out again, but that might have to wait another week or two - until I gather up some more monies that I can go "parting" with. whee heart
