chapter 1:

The moonlight coming in through the window made the room shine with a silver glow. There, a woman stood, examining the baby in the crib.
She smiled as she talked to it, even though it was sleeping.

"You will grow up with courage and leadership."
The woman, her straight grey hair glowing siler from the light, reached her hand in through the crib slats. Gently she stroked the babys arm.
"The strength you will have will be greater than ten men, and your intention for it are good, and not evil."

The baby's leg twitched, but she kept on sleeping.
The woman, although young, in her twenty's, had long straight hair, the color of steel.
Her eyes were a dark grey, and although fierce looking, they had a tenderness to them at this moment. She was a light guardian, in control of all the light elementals that lived in the distant planet of Zaron, a greenish-looking planet, billions of miles away from Earth, hiiden amongst the stars. She withdrew her hand, taking a final look.

"You have a pure heart, perfect for the job that you are destined for."
The guardian took out a crystal, clearer than water.
In the middle, was a smaller shard of crystal, dark blue, like a sapphire.

Cupping the crystal in both hands, she closed her eyes, as if meditating.
After a few seconds, it began to glow blue and rise on it's own accord.
Tjen, a larger, but quick flash of red light made the crystal disappear, but this time, it was on a silver chain around the child's neck.
Then, as quickly as it all happened, the crystal dissolved into the air, leaving nothing behind.

"When the time is right, you'll discover yourself and your abilities," said the guardian to the sleeping baby.
"Then one day, we'll see eachother again, and you'll claim your rightful place as the new light guardian."

She kissed the baby on it's forehead, and grabbing a staff she had left leaning against the crib, whispered a chant and was gone in a flash of bright light.
Through all this, the baby slept, not aware that it's future had already been decided.
One day, it will have to conquer the evils the shadow elementals threw at it, and take control of Zaron, the planet being controlled by the shadow guardian.
Hundreds of years of fighting and searching, and finally, the one that the light kingdom had been looking form was born. Maybe it will prevail and rule the whole planet of Zaron, or be defeated, and the light elementals taken prisoner.

Although the light and shadow elementals were in battle, Earth was suffering as well.
