The light elementals are in charge of the good things that happen in our everyday lives, like the birth of a child or the sudden finding of fortune. To balance out life though, the shadow elementals made bad things happen, like a child's death or someone suddenly finding themselves dirt poor. Together, they worked to balance everything, but, if shadow elementals were in total control, then Earth would just be another hell, filled with pain and sorrow, where the sun would never rise.

You can't see them on Earth though, they are invisble to the human eye.
But if you were to reach out where one stood, then you could still feel them.
Light elementals are angels, and in fact, live to bring joy to humans, helping them believe in God and miracles. Shadow elementals are like demons, taking joy in messing up someone's life, laughing at their misfortunes.

The shadow elementals have a planet of thier own, Ayar, located near a black hole. The secret to the defeat of the shadow elementals is to bring light and joy to the planet of Ayar, where it's always nighttime, where light can;t reach.
Because of the continuous darkness, shadow elementals have pale skin, and most have red or dark blue eyes. They feast on darkness, blood, like vampires.
They only laugh at a shriek of pain.

Light elementals are the complete opposite.
They laugh and smile as much as they can, and hardly ever get angry or argue. They have a normal day and night rotation on their planet, but unlike the planet of Ayar, stars actually come out at night. Looking like normal people, light elementals have only one weakness, and that's total darkness.
They fear places of no light because shadow elementals can live in the shadows, but only in complete darkness, like a closed closet with no light coming in through the door.

Guardians are assigned to be in control of all elementals.
the way they are chosen is simple, the current light or shadow Guardian just picks the one they believe is the 'one'. But whoever they choose can be trusted, because Guardians have the ability to sense these things, like a conscious.
Then they assign each one a crystal, light uses a blue shard, shadow, a red shard. Elementals have abilities, but not as many or as powerful as the Guardians, so the Guardians store the extra power in a crystal, which dissolves into them whenever extra power is needed. It also helps to keep from dying until help arrives.

All elementals and Guardians do prefer to store their power until needed, so they also have good fighting and swordsmanship. They can also summon creature to fight for them, and weapons of any kind are always at hand.
