God dammit... I just started floor hockey yesterday and I already have a sprained ankle. stare It's not bad, though. I tore a tendon when I sprained my ankle at the beginning of this last summer. I couldn't walk on it for a long time. I was hopping all over our house on one foot. rolleyes So anyway, I'm a gimp yet again. And my ankle was just about made worse when I absolutely HAD to be goalie because of my little problem. 'Hey, you should be goalie this time. Since you can't move around as fast and all.' Coming from the girl that was not the gimp and who wasn't goalie once through the entire period. Peachy. If I wasn't at risk of being punished, I'd reply, 'Ya know what? Just shut the ******** up and quit trying to take advantage of my gimpy-ness.'
Oh well. I guess it really didn't matter, because I only let in one goal and I was goalie all games but one. Ha! Suckers... and that overly aggressive person I mentioned? She's the one who scored. By KICKING my bad leg to get the puck in the net. Course, when she kicked it, my leg gave way and it went in. She was so proud. And when you're 5 inches away from the goalie, I bet it feels even better. mad When I told my dad, he said, 'So... did you punch her?' I wish. mrgreen Whoopsie. I forgot to say how I got to be a gimp in the first place. Because of the 1st overly aggressive person to cross my path during floor hockey. They must be bad luck... like black cats.
Well, I happened to be in front of the net when the puck landed by my foot. I was about to turn and try for a goal when this girl comes up beside me and takes a whack at the puck. Going over it and knocking me off balance. Thus, making my ankle roll under me. And I know it was an accident... I just wish they'd think a little more about it. sweatdrop So, I limped over to the sidelines while my vision went all white and stuff. I had to lay down to get the buzzing in my ears to stop. I couldn't even sit on a chair. I tried to get up again when my sight cleared but it went white again... and this time my ears didn't just buzz, they went all echoy and muffled sounding. I got weirded out by this because it really didn't hurt that bad, and it wasn't nearly as bad as the sprain the summer before. gonk
Otherwise... it isn't a big deal. I'm already walking on it again today, without much trouble. I just can't bend it very far. Or twist it. It'll be fine by the end of this week if I don't aggravate it. But that might not be helped because we can't get out of class with a parent note anymore. We need a doctor's note instead. And I'm not going to have my parents spend a ridiculous amount of money on a doctor visit having her tell me something I alredy know. talk2hand
