The pittyful man attempts to escape. How sad, I pounce on him and growl. Revenge tempts me, but his blood would be meaningless. He cowers and squeaks out, "What are you going to do to me?" How pathetic, he's not worth it. I spit in his face, "Be thankfull I did no devour you when I heard you come." I get off of him, "Run, if you return, I will finish you and return you to the earth." He scrambles up and runs away. Pittyful, I finish cleaning off and return to the tribe. An old friend I made a good 48 moons or so back approaches me. "You've matured alot Stream and I envy your hunting skills." He says. What was his name again? Root, that was it. So many faces to remember now. "Thank you Root. You've gotten alot better too." I reply struggling with my tail from the happiness. He blushes, was it because I did too? I can't tell anymore. But I grin at him, he has always been so friendly with me, even before when his tribe would visit mine, back when I was human. "Erm, you want to go fishing tommarrow with me?" he asks blushing. I wasn't expecting this, I took a step back in surprise. I gaped at him like a fish. Drat it all! The mountain lion has caught my toung. I rushed out the first word that came into my head, "Sure."
