If i had a dream



If i had a dream and you were in it
would you open your eyes to me for even a minute?

If i had a dream and we stood there in awe
how long would it be till you were suddenly gone?

If i had a dream
and you had a dream
and in these dreams were mear dreams of our dreams,
would you speak them to me in hushed tones of silence?

Would you keep them quiet,
and away from my ears?

Would you close my eyes,
and wish me no fears?

If i had a dream that had you and me,
what would you say to me,
just for the moment?

If you had a dream,
what would it be?

If you had a dream,
would you tell it to me?

Would you show me these tones,
mix with me the colors

Would you lead me to your world,
and shed me of the others?

Show me your world,
tell me your dream.

But would you ever speak to me?

If i had a dream
and you were in it
would you be happy
even for a minute?

If i had a dream,
and all of it saddend me
would you walk away and leave me to be?

If i had a dream,
and she had a dream,
and he had a dream,
and they had a dream,
and we had a dream,
could we all hear it?

Could we all see it?

Shant we feel it?

Nor could it be,
that because of his dream
beceause of her dream
because of our dream and theres

that minute is gone
and the dream in hushed tones
has vanished with the thought that once was you

would this all fall apart,
and you'd suddenly be gone?

and sing a silent song...

would you sing for me?
would you sing me a song,
a song of your dream,
even if it didn't have me?

It can start with a hushed tone,
