Masquerade
"Forgotten in the world of lies hidin behind a mask of truth. The Masquerade of Blood has just begun for these fools. Tch." Moonlight spoke in a soft, low, concerned voice. Her arm rested high against the window sill she stood upon. Her white hair, cut short for battle, resembled the very light she reflected. Moonlight's stone gray eyes turned from the busy streets of the city Taysin below to her left arm, where a scar of pink noticeably wrapped around half of her beautifully pale skin. Moonlight hated her beauty and had cut this wound as a curse upon herself.
Dagger, a fair skinned, short blonde hair, green eyed servent of Moonlight, noticed her Master staring at the scar on her arm. Pausing before speaking, Dagger set down the tray of tea she had been holding on the nearest coffee table. "Master..?" She asked, her voice and eyes full of worry as she walked foreward slowly towards Moonlight. "Master?" Dagger asked a second time, except, there was a hint o f shock in her voice. Had her Master not hear her? Was Moonlight ignoring her precious slave? "Master?" Dagger asked a third time. She reached out and touched Moonlight's shoulder. "Ma-?"
Turning around swiftly while grabbing a hold of Dagger's hand, twirling her in a dip, Moonlight grinned widely. "You called?" She giggled.
Dagger's face flushed with color of a dark pink rose. Her wide green eyes blinked a few times before she shook her head. "Master! Don't do that! You had me thinking you were about to jump.." Dagger looked to the side, her face still flushed.
Moonlight laughed, loving the reaction she brought upon her pet. "I am sorry dear Dagger." She bring Dagger up to a standing position, kissing her forehead as she released her. "What is my pet plan-" Moonlight blinks, being cut off by the scent of someone breaking through the barrier around her house.
Muttering with a darkened flush upon her face, Dagger turned away, heading back to the coffee table where she had set the tray of tea on.
Moonight placed a hand on Dagger's shoulder, a dark grin spreading across her face. "I will be right back." She spoke slyly as she disappeared into a slight breeze of wind.
"Um.." Dagger blinked. "Okay?"
Outside her house, Moonight tackled a strange blonde male with light sapphire eyes. His clothes and hair was unkept, but he did not seem to care. "Garrison!" Moonlight yelled welcomly before giggling at the sight of his slightly annoyed face. "Hiya puppy!" She giggled again, hugging him tightly then releasing him as she stood next to him, offering out hand to help him up.
Garrison waved away her hand. Standing upright, he turned to Moonlight wondering how someone like him, in such high position and power, would want to speak to someone as strange and crazy as her? Then again, his friend was slightly crazy himself. "I am slowly getting used to that.." Garrison said, finally caring to brush himself off.
Smiling at the thoughts of this young (well, young to her) visitor, Moonlight tilted her head to the side. "You look cute filthy." She giggled, untilting her head.
"Uhh..Thanks?" Garrison replied while looking at her oddly.
"You're welcome!" She smiled at him before giggling once more.
Shaking his head, Garrison turns away from this strange woman he and his friend had met a few weeks ago. "Er..Shense wants to meet with you." He said in a bored tone of voice.
"Oh..?" Moonlight's thoughts raced through her mind more than their usual rapid pace. 'Did he remember? I erased everyone's memory a few years ago for a reason! Especially his..I used extra magic..He couldn't already remember could he..? No..That's impossible..please no..Don't let him remember me again this early. I can't..I won't..I refuse to hurt Shense..or anyone else..I want to be forgotten.' Her head drooped as deep sadness and excruciating pain filled her heart and mind. Fear washed over her as she weakened her stance. She new that once he remembered..It would begin..and she was hoping..by the strength of her magic..foolishly hoping..It would never happen. Even through all her hoping, she knew it would..and now it seemed..that day may be approaching.
"Wow.." Garrison spoke through the silence after a few moments in a very shocked voice. "Not the usual reaction he gets from girls..Hey..?" He placed one hand on Moonlight's shoulder and shook her gently. "Hey..Are you all right? Shense's not going to hurt you..I don't think he is at least..He didn't sound as if he was going to when he asked me to go get you.." 'Unless he is hungry..' Garrison thought after speaking comfortly.
'I love him and don't want to hurt him...So you bring us back into contact? What kind of cruel, sick joke is this God?!' Moonlight weakened more under the weight of her crystal heart, her eyes tearing up, color of tears turning soft pink as they embraced the air. 'He has others!' Her thoughts continued, the racing pace becoming more hetic with each stabbing she self delivered to her own heart. 'Shense could be with any woman he wanted! Why bring us in contact after four years?! Why..? I don't understand...Why?'
Feeling Moonlight weaken under his grip on her shoulder, Garrison shakes her harder and harder. "Hey! Hey!" He yells at Moonlight, shaking her ever harder. "Wake up God damnit! HEY!"
Moonlight masked her eyes then looks up quickly. The masked eyes filled with fake excitement. "Shense? Shense Motto?! He wants to meet with me?!" Moonlight squeals. "YAY!" She jumps up and down excitedly while clapping her hands. Stopping abruptly, her eyes widened. "Oh my God.."
"What?" Garrison asked boredly, now giving Moonlight the same dull look he gave all of Shense's little girlfriends.
"I've got to change!" Moonlight runs towards her illusion of a normal, everyday house. "Dagger! I need clothes!" She shouted before disappearing at the door.
